Banana Swoop Masters infos for pilots

Swooping is a sport where aerial athletes (parachutists) jump from an aircraft or launch themselves from a fixed object and fly high performance parachutes through courses set up over the ground, water or down a mountain.

Swoopers exceed speeds of over 90mph during a swoop. Unlike traditional skydiving, swooping takes place at ground level in front of a crowd.

Swooping on Sl is now possible with BANZAI Rig wich is a 27 cell high perf canopy replica.
Distances of SL's swoops are close from RL distances.

SL Swoopers compet in Banana Swoop Masters !!

Some rules must be agreed to perform valid sloops:

Pilot  has to touch 2 gates, 1 red 1 blue to validate the distance.
Those gates prevent of extra bumps, providing huge distances you can get and by this way avoid us to purchase a second sim for landings ^^.

Following schemes explain the proper way to hit gates and write your name on scoreboard.

As you can see swooping is a question of tempo, releasing turn arrow to enter flare at the exact moment is the key.

Some of betters swoopers often advice to enter  mouselook to have a better vision of altitude and distance.

Others are a little bit late to use slightly  bump effect but hit gates.

All train a lot !!
